X FORUM
OF CIVIL SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT OF
UKRAINE

NOVEMBER 30, 2021

INDEPENDENCE IS US!

This year’s Forum is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence. During the years of independence, many NGOs have grown from small initiatives that took the first steps in activism to powerful institutions. These organizations are now improving the lives of Ukrainians, influencing politics and the economy, advocating for change, and working with the government to develop new legislation. We want to celebrate the contribution of civil society to the creation and development of the state. People create change and inspire others to change, and together we can inspire the whole country. In critical times, civil society activists become defenders, changemakers, fighters for justice, and those who urge the government to take decisive action. We all remember the special role that civil society organizations played during the Revolution of Dignity, after it and in the war with Russia, when it was necessary to save the country. We see how now, during the pandemic, civic organizations and charitable foundations are saving the lives of Ukrainians and supporting the state. For thirty years, hundreds of NGOs in different parts of the country have introduced incremental changes that Ukrainians needed and that were necessary to strengthen the state. At the Forum, we will remember the achievements of civil society that have shaped and continue to shape our independence and celebrate our contribution to this national anniversary. So we invite you to join and get inspiration for the next stage of development!
